My dear cat Bingo Schon.

Bingo turned 14 years old last June and to a cat's life, that is very old.

We adopted Bingo when he was 6 weeks old to be my companion while Ed was away to Diego Garcia, his last duty station before he got out of the US Navy. The 5 bedroom house was kind of empty since all the three children moved out and started their own families.  Bingo was a delight as a kitty, he never scratched the furnitures, he would meet me at the door whenever I came home from work.  He became the baby of the family especially with the three granddaughters of ours, Raelani, Stormy and Carly and then Rylan.  Then came the boys, so he is much older than the 6 grandchildren.  Last December he was diagnosed as having a rare kind of tumor and we panicked for a while and did not know what to do.  His side  left side had ballooned and he would not get out of the house.  I was in the Philippines, so I would call and talked with him on the phone.  In February, Ed decided to save him and Bingo had a surgery and he was shaved. I was glad I was not home to see him like that or I would just cry.  Ed gave him the best attention, fed him and gave his medicine. He was nursed back to health by Ed.

This is how Bingo looks like now, he is getting slow, and he only eats very little and he hardly goes outside.  He sleeps all the time and cuddles on my side when I am in bed.  What would I do when he leaves?  I will miss him so dearly and NO I will not have another pet.  Nobody can replace Bingo, he will be my dear pet forever.  I wished he would live forever.
