BREADED OYSTERS

6 HUGE OYSTERS

1 CUP FRESH BREAD CRUMBS  *

2 EGGS, BEATEN

½ CUP MILK

2 TABLESPOONS OLIVE OIL

SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE

Mix bread crumbs, eggs and milk, season with salt and pepper. Roll the oysters in the mix until fully coated.  Heat the oil in a wok until it is steaming hot.  Drop oysters one at a time and brown both sides. Arrange in a plate with paper towel when cooked.  Serve in a nice platter and serve with hot sauce with slices of lemon.

Serves 2 to 3

Can you beat the oysters from the water of Puget Sound? I brought Donny and Janine a bag of oysters.  Donny who normally will gorge on oysters, had just one of those huge oysters I brought to him and he was full.

*I use all my left over breads or I buy day old bread to make my own bread crumbs and fresh them.  They are best for breading meats and fish and even vegetables.
