2  Ernita’s Catfish Pakulog – PINANGAT NA HITO

2 TABLESPOONS COOKING OIL

1 TABLESPOON PAPRIKA

1 MEDIUM SIZE CATFISH,  STEAKED INTO 5 PIECES

1 PACKAGE OF SINIGANG MIX

¼ CUP CHOPPED ONIONS

1 JALAPENO PEPPER, SLICED

½ CUP WATER

½ CUP CILANTRO, OPTIONAL

Heat the cooking oil  add the paprika in the oil.  Fry the steaks until browned

Meanwhile, boil the mix with onions and jalapeno pepper.  Transfer the fried fish on a serving platter. Pour the boiling mix  on the fish, spread the chopped cilantro if desired.

Serves 2
