Have you ever gone CLAMMING? Don't miss out on this beautiful experience when you can. Bremerton, Washington is  surrounded by the Puget Sound. Our parks are open for clamming during  the season. We are allowed to harvest 42 clams each person. So if you get  a chance or the opportunity to go clamming, DO IT.

Ingredients:

    *   72 Manila Clams or small clams
    *  1 8 oz chicken broth
    *  1/2 cup chopped parsley
    *  1/2 cup chopped shallots
    *  2 tablespoons butter
    *  1 bay leaf
    * 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Procedure:

In a large kettle, combine chicken broth, parsley, butter, shallots, pepper, bay leaf. Bring to a boil, add clams, reduce heat and simmer until clams open, about 5 – 10 minutes. Discard any clams that do not open.

Divide clams into serving bowls and ladle hot liquid over clams.

Serve with French bread
