Revisiting the birthplace. This is where I spent my summer vacations to stay with the grandparents. There were so many sweet memories, being the first born, the first grandchild.
We were getting near Carmen. WE just passed Tarlac and I was having goosebumps.
This is my town, and I was born..
In Sto Tomas, Pangasinan.
And what did I do? the market of course.
I just went to my cousins place and asked to be brought to the wet market. "palengke"
The Bagoong Pangasinan, the province is famous of. They are called Anchovies here and very expensive. Have you tried to order Pizza with Anchovies?
My kitchen helper at my cousin's house.
And of course the kutsenera, Anita
And the cockfight.. Sto. Tomas is where the sabong is. The legend is that Ernesting, built this Sabongan, in Sto. Tomas. He then had Sabongan all over the province and in every province he had a wife.
When Ernesting died, there were so many children and wives that came to Sto. Tomas. There is a monument built for him at the Plaza. And guess whose rooster lost?
